The static Instagram grid post for tonight’s service doesn’t do much. The story-style sequence does.
The three-post sequence
- 9am: Behind-the-scenes story — the chef breaking down today’s seafood, or the bar prep. No CTA. Just “here’s what we’re doing today”.
- 2pm: The day’s board — chalkboard photo of the specials, a brief description, “tonight from 6”.
- 4pm: “Walk-ins welcome from 6 — message us for a table or just come in.” This is the conversion post.
The metric
You won’t see this in your Instagram analytics — you’ll see it in DM volume on the 4pm post. The walk-ins follow.
