Most issues that recur in hospitality recur because nobody owns them. The fix is a 20-minute weekly meeting, always at the same time, with the same agenda.
The agenda
- Wins (5 min): What went well? Whose work made it happen?
- Issues (10 min): Three columns — What broke, Why, Owner. One name per row.
- Numbers (5 min): Wage %, food cost %, average bill. Compared to last week.
Note-taker rotates. Notes go in a shared doc. The next week opens with last week’s issues — closed or escalated.
